Dr. Hananel E. G. Holzer MD, BSc

Dr. Holzer is an internationally recognized leader in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, with a career spanning Canada, Israel, and beyond. He graduated as Class Valedictorian from the Hebrew University and Hadassah Medical School in 1992, completed his OB-GYN residency at Hadassah, and went on to a two-year REI fellowship at McGill University — where he was later recruited as a staff member.
He has held prestigious roles including Medical Director of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) Reproductive Centre and Director of the REI Division at McGill University. He holds an Adjunct Professor appointment at McGill and has authored over 100 publications in the field of infertility. His main clinical interests include fertility preservation for cancer patients, age-related fertility decline, and a comprehensive team approach to infertility care.
Dr. Holzer understands that fertility treatment can feel like a roller coaster — with emotional highs and lows that affect every aspect of a patient’s life. He believes the care team’s role is to reduce that stress by being attentive, sensitive, and approachable.
