Dr. Sony Sierra, MD, FRCSC (OBGYN/REI)

Dr. Sierra is a Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist with nearly 20 years of experience, and a recognized leader in the field of recurrent pregnancy loss. As Deputy Medical Director and Partner at TRIO, she also serves as Medical Director at EVOLVE Egg Freezing Clinic, and co-leads TRIO’s early Recurrent Pregnancy Loss (RPL) program — the largest of its kind in Canada — alongside Dr. Carl Laskin.

Dr. Sierra is an Associate Physician at Women’s College Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (REI) at the University of Toronto. She is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in both OB-GYN and Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. A Past President of CFAS (2022–2023) and active member of ASRM and ESHRE, she is deeply committed to staying at the forefront of her field.

Her research interests include infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, implantation failure, and PCOS. Above all, Dr. Sierra is known for her gentle, compassionate approach — and for the profound care she brings to patients navigating some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
