Dr. Nickan Motamedi, BSc, MSc, MD, FRCSC (OBGYN/REI)

Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility Specialist (REI)

Dr. Motamedi is a Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility specialist who completed his medical degree at the University of Ottawa, his OB-GYN residency at Western University, and his REI fellowship at the University of Toronto. He also holds a Master’s degree in academic surgery from Western University’s Surgeon Scientist program.
His research focuses on recurrent pregnancy loss and infertility outcomes across Ontario, and he is the recipient of the prestigious Mary Hannah grant for infertility research from the University of Toronto. He has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, presented at national and international conferences, and serves as a scientific reviewer for Fertility and Sterility — the largest journal in fertility medicine.
Dr. Motamedi’s practice covers all areas of reproductive medicine, with special interests in egg and embryo freezing and Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT) for monogenetic disease. Dr. Motamedi runs a modern, patient-centered practice and is a strong advocate for his patients. He understands the difference it makes when a doctor listens to a patient, providing open lines of communication in a caring and compassionate way. He is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in both OB-GYN and REI, and is a member of CFAS, ASRM, and SOGC.
