Lucimar Ferreira, PhD

Dr. Lucimar T. Ferreira brings more than two decades of scientific, research, and embryology experience to TRIO Fertility, where she serves as Laboratory Director. With a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Brazil, Dr. Ferreira has built an impressive career spanning advanced reproductive technologies, molecular biology, and translational research. Her expertise includes embryology laboratory operations such as ICSI, embryo culture, vitrification, embryo biopsy, oocyte retrieval, and embryo transfer, alongside extensive experience in genetics, cell culture, and reproductive research.

Before joining TRIO Fertility in 2022, Dr. Ferreira held clinical embryology roles at leading Canadian fertility centres including The Fertility Clinic at London Health Sciences Centre and Omega Fertility. In addition to her clinical expertise, she spent over a decade in academic and scientific research positions at institutions including Western University, Robarts Research Institute, and the Children’s Health Research Institute. Throughout her career, she has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications and international research presentations focused on neuroscience, cellular signaling, reproductive biology, and molecular medicine.
