Get Started With TRIO

TRIO offers warm congratulations to our Deputy Medical Director and Partner, Dr. Sony Sierra, elected President of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS) for 2023. Dr. Sierra assumes this position while at the same time continuing her practice at both TRIO and EVOLVE.

“On behalf of the CFAS, we are ecstatic that Dr. Sony Sierra will be our incoming President for 2022 to 2023. As the first woman of colour to take on this role for our organization, I could not be happier for her. Stemming from her demonstrated dedication to the field of ART, passion for the work she so diligently does, the deep compassion she carries for others, and her consistently thoughtful demeanour, I am confident that she will lead the CFAS with excellence,” said Goldi Gill, CFAS Executive Director.

The Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society is Canada’s national organization of professionals dealing with reproductive medicine. Its mission is to responsibly advance reproductive science and medicine in Canada through leadership, research, and guidance.

“It’s my honour and privilege to serve the CFAS as president. We are a society composed of members working in all areas of reproductive medicine in Canada, providing excellence in clinical practice, research, and leadership. While I have been involved in this Society for as many years as I’ve been in practice, I am thrilled to lead our membership into the next year along with our esteemed board members and administrative team led by Dr. Gill,” said Dr. Sierra.

Dr. Sierra is a Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist (REI) and a specialist in Recurrent Pregnancy Loss. Alongside her role as Deputy Medical Director and Partner at TRIO, Dr. Sierra is the Medical Director at EVOLVE Egg Freezing Clinic. Dr. Sierra is also an Associate Physician at Women’s College Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Toronto.
